Small claims cases are heard on Tuesdays.

Cases for the recovery of money or property up to a jurisdictional limit of $10,000 may be filed in the Small Claims Division.

Attorneys are not allowed to represent parties in small claims proceedings prior to the entry of judgment.

The small claims division of the Court Clerk's Office is located iwithin the Self-Help Center of the Johnson County Courthouse.

8:00am - noon and 1:00pm - 4:30pm Monday through Friday in person, (closed noon - 1:00pm)

The Clerk's Office closes promptly at Noon for lunch and 4:30 for the day.

Please have all filings, requests or other business to the Clerk by 11:45 and 4:15 so we may assist you prior to closing.
