The Probate department of the District Court Clerk's Office is located on the 1st floor of the Johnson County Courthouse. The office
is open from 8:00am - noon and 1:00pm - 4:30pm Monday through Friday in person, (closed noon - 1:00pm).
The Clerk's Office closes promptly at Noon for lunch and 4:30 for the day.

- Small Estates Affidavit
***This form does not get filed with the clerk’s office. This affidavit may be used to obtain the transfer, to a decedent’s successor in interest, of certain personal property that would be transferrable to the decedent, without obtaining letters of administration or letters testamentary, where the total value of the estate subject to probate does not exceed $75,000. The transfer is treated as one to the personal representative of the decedent, and the receipt of the transfer operates as a full discharge and release of the transferor. - Probate Notice of Hearing
