Consequences for Failing to Pay Judgments
Any bonding company that fails to pay a judgment on a bond forfeiture within 10 days of the file-stamped date of the court’s order will be suspended from writing bonds until such time as the judgment and any applicable interest is paid in full. Should the judgment remain unpaid for 30 days from the due date, the bonding company will be removed from the approved list of sureties to write bonds in Johnson County.
