Who Can

At this time we will not be accepting in-person marriage license applications. You must use the online portal to apply for a marriage license. The fee for the marriage license is $85.50. You will also be charged a $2.14 fee if you pay by credit or debit card, or a $1.25 fee if you pay by electronic check. The Clerk’s Office cannot take payment for the marriage license. It must be paid for through the online portal. You are welcome to use the Self-Help Center computers, located at the courthouse, to apply and pay for the marriage license.

All fees are non-refundable. This marriage license ONLY applies for weddings held in the state of Kansas.

To schedule a wedding ceremony in the courthouse you will need to contact one of the Judges listed. You will need to be issued a marriage license before you schedule your ceremony. You will then take your marriage license to the ceremony so that the Judge officiating the ceremony can sign it. For questions please email [email protected] or call 913-715-3428.
